​Welcome to Kairaumati Polled Hereford













Colville Farm, the home of Kairaumati cattle, has progressed from a dairy farm milking 230 dairy cows in the 1980’s to a commercial beef operation selling yearling bull calves and now is the home of 120 pedigree cows.


We are passionate Hereford breeders with a strong vision of the type of cattle we want to breed. Production is on the top of the list of objectives keeping in mind it is important we like the look of the stock in our paddock.


The farm is made up of 194 Ha. of grass land which is river flat, rolling to steep hill of poor fertility and the balance is 188 Ha. pine plantation with 60 Ha. reverting to bush.


We are a family operation running a Sawmill, Hereford Stud, a small number of sheep and a commercial kitchen and farm shop & butchery.

Hereford 'n' a Pickle




















The Hereford 'n' a Pickle supplies BEEF, FRESH BAKING, COFFEE, REAL FRUIT ICECREAM & CONDIMENTS in addition to a full menu of delicious meals made with a lot of our own beef and fresh vegetables. 


The meat and produce is sourced directly from our family farm which is farmed using natural principles.


We process all our meat on site (once returned to us from the abattoir) including our much loved sausages made from an old family recipe.  In our farm shop you will find fresh sandwiches, cakes, slices, scones, biscuits, a selection of homemade jams, pickles, chutneys and sauces.


Enjoy a coffee and cake or a refreshing fruit icecream in our garden seating area or picnic area.
